Žuljana is a popular, picturesque fishing and agricultural village located in the southern part of the Pelješac peninsula. It offers clean, almost unspoilt nature with ever-present intoxicating fragrance of pines to its guests.
Very salty sea, well preserved, century-old pine forests and olive groves, endless vineyards and long sandy-pebble beaches with numerous intimate coves with beaches and crystal clear sea make this place an ideal destination to spend your holiday.
Considering the quality of air, it is one of the cleanest places in Europe. The sea water is saltier than in other parts of Croatia, which has positive effects on your health, especially on the skin and respiratory diseases.
Žuljana has one of the largest and nicest beaches in this part of the Adriatic seaside - small pebbles and sand. It is shallow, suitable for children. There is another beautiful beach in the next bay.
In Žuljana there is a supermarket Studenac for everyday shopping of bakery products, fruits and vegetables, a newly opened bakery and then 2 restaurants, where fresh seafood specialities, pizza, delicious home-made wine may be tasted. During the season the post office is opened daily. There it is possible, besides other things, to exchange money. Several days a week, there is an opportunity to buy fresh fish from a local fisherman and there are also some vending stands with freshly home produced fruits and vegetables opened daily, excellent red and white wine from local wine makers and also many kinds of home-made spirits.
Žuljana is not only an ideal place to spend a quiet holiday, for families with children, but it´s also a great destination for sportsmen and for anyone who likes discovering and visiting new places!!
